It's a long way to the top....

Lots of work going on here at Gotham. This won't be the longest blog post I've ever done but I wanted to add something for the month. Currently, I have a new single coming out soon, a massive show I'm planning for on Dec 2. and I'm trying my very best to get songs written and into production for a very massive project coming up for next year. All of this while planning out a tour and still trying to find the right vehicle to run across the country with. Busy, Busy! In the words of AC/DC   "it's a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll." More true words have never been spoken.

I had a very cool experience at a show this last weekend. A few of my fans who had seen us play at the same venue came back to see us again. The previous show they saw us at got rained out so we were not able to play our full set. It was nice of them to come back to see us! We have recently started up a  scavenger hunt for our shows and if you find the item in the venue and bring it to the merch booth you win a prize! Well, Steve and Carmen found the item.

For this show, I wanted to give away something unique. I usually want to do that but don't always have the ability or the item to make it super cool! Well, this time I did. I had a special poster that I had made for my release, "Grindstone" That I had planned on giving away but didn't. I decided to give that away as part of the scavenger hunt this particular evening. Steve and Carmen found the item and when I was done with my set I went and said hello to them. It was so nice to hear that they came back to see us again. I told them about the poster and what was special about it. Would you believe it..... THEY ASKED ME TO AUTOGRAPH THAT BADBOY! WHAT!?!?!? WHAT!?!? I couldn't believe it! I'd never had people want lil' old me to autograph anything. I quickly grabbed a permanent marker and signed away. So Steve and Carmen, Thank you for humbling me. I hope you enjoy the poster and I hope to see you at future shows. Kinda funny that they won a poster for "Grindstone" and that song talks about working until you get what you want even though it seems impossible. Well autographing something is certainly a milestone of grinding on the grindstone!

Another super awesome thing my fans have done for me, yet again. I even had one of my fans send me a very nice video for inspiration the other day as well. Needless to say that day it was very much needed! I wasn't having a great day and they sent me a video from the amazing singer, Brent Smith. For those of you who don't know, he sings for the supergroup "Shinedown." The video highlighted doing what you want to do in art or music. It was just the thing I needed that day and I appreciate that kind of stuff from my fans regardless of the type of day I'm having. So big thanks to Cindy for sending me that. It made my day.

What can I say? I have some of the best fans anyone could ask for!

I want to talk quickly about the upcoming show on Dec 2. We have GA, VIP, AND LIVE STREAM TICKETS AVAILABLE! I would love for all of my fans that live outside of CO to get a ticket to this via Livestream. You all mean the world to me and it would be great to finally put a show on for you! CLICK THIS LINK and go get yours now!

So much still to do today so I'm gonna keep working but I hope to see you all at the show! Join the mailing list for updates, stay up to date on my social media, and thank you again for supporting the dream!

Talk soon,

Bryce

Workin' Hard, Fan Excitement, and Radio Appearances!

Hello everyone! It's time for the monthly blog update! I always update this each month with new information about the ongoings of the music, myself, and my band.

I am working hard on scheduling shows for next summer's tour. I'm a little early in the game so we only have a few confirmed shows in other states but I have a lot of promising prospects that want me to reach out again at the beginning of the new year! Currently, we have shows in Kansas and North Carolina. I'm currently working on more shows in Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Wyoming. There is also talk of getting some shows scheduled in Georgia as well! I know some fans live in Illinois and I am working on that too but that is a hard area to find the right location for my fans as I have quite a few out there. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you out on the road! I wanted to thank all of the fans who helped with their suggestions of venues to play near them. I have reached out to a good bit of those venues and hope to hear back in the coming weeks and months. Scheduling a tour is very difficult and there is SO MUCH that goes into it. It's been a labor of love but I think it will pay off immensely within the next 5 years. So thank you to all who gave me suggestions for venues near you! I appreciate your help!

There are some awesome developments outside of the tour, however. I have recently been in contact with Denver Open Media and they run a radio show called, "The Kinda Vague Radio Show." They are based in Denver, CO and I submitted one of my songs to them for airplay. They graciously accepted my swill of music and now they want me to make a guest appearance on the show! So I will be on air LIVE this upcoming Thursday 10/13/22. You can listen in on 89.3 HDR if you live in Colorado or 92.9FM in the city limits of Denver. If you happen to tune into 92.9FM and you get a station called, "The Bear" That is not the station. That is a mainstream classic rock clear channel station and I will not be on that. So if you can't find it then head over to www.denveropenmedia.org and click the Red Button that says "Listen." I will be on air from 7:45 PM-8:15 PM MST. I would love for you all to tune in. Rumor has it I'll be playing an unreleased track on this show. If you are a true fan of mine you won't want to miss this!

In other exciting news, I'm off to the wonderful Las Vegas Nevada for an entire week next week. What's crazy is, I'm going to meet a fan there! This particular person has been following me around for a very long amount of time now and she is also going to be on vacation as well! She's excited to meet me which is almost a weird and foreign thing for me! I never thought I would get to the point where I would have fans that enjoy my work so much that they want to meet me in person! Pretty cool, especially because she lives in a whole other state! Ahh, the power of today's modern technology of social media! What a wondrous thing when it's not mentally taxing! I'm very excited to meet this person, who knows might end up hanging out with her and her friends for an evening in the big city of lights! Honestly, I'm also ready for a vacation. I have been working hard on music for the past 3 years, and I haven't had an actual vacation as an adult.....ever. Sure I've had some staycations here and there but nothing major. This will be a great time and I cannot wait to be there already! I will most certainly be taking some photos and most likely run into a guitar store while I'm out there! The whole reason I'm going is for the, "When We Were Young" Post Punk festival that is going on. I was lucky enough to purchase tickets when they went on pre-sale. Those of you that know me to know that I LOVE My Chemical Romance and so many other bands that are going to be at that show. I'm crazy excited!

The new single is finished. I will be submitting that for release this afternoon so more on that will be coming up. Stay tuned! This is a very cool song, one that I think shows off a very small amount of my musicianship but it turned out great. I'm more proud of the mix and the overall feel of this song more than I am anything else.

There are a bunch of upcoming shows in November for Bryce Evans & The Black Cats. Make sure you get out to one and come support your favorite small musician! Make sure you stay up to date with all the fresh behind-the-scenes content that is coming up this month, show updates, and special deals by joining the mailing list! I offer so much to my fans on the mailing list that I don't offer to anyone else or on social media! Make sure you get on board. I just finished the last promo for September which included an exclusive deal for my members and behind-the-scenes content about some of our last shows that I didn't share anywhere else!

I look forward to seeing all of you out on the road! Thank you again for your continued support of my music and this journey! See you soon!

Wake Me Up When September Ends....

More like wake me up before September begins! This is my favorite season and 2nd favorite month of the year. It seems that things always go well in the fall for me. So far I've had tons of gigs this season. Now things are starting to slow down as they always do in the colder months. The thing I love now that I have a full-time job as a guitarist is that fall always brings in great crowds to intimate venues. Even before I used music as a means of income I always noticed that people come out to show support for live music even when the weather is cold. It's a sense of belonging and gathering I think. Things we usually get in the wonderful sun at campgrounds or festivals.

For me, fall brings a sense of mystery to the world. When I was a kid the world seemed (and I'm sure was) much colder. The air was crisper and full of wonder back then...seems that feeling has left me now. It also has a very deep connection with my inner teenager. I began to fall in love with rock and roll like most teens at the age of 12 or 13. A grey and black AC/DC shirt a family friend got me, long hair, and an SG I was ready! But...... It was different for me. Rock and roll had a smell, a sound, a vision, an impulse. That impulse is what drives me to make music and inspire others to reach for the stars every day.

It was different for me because I had THE outlet at my fingertips. Growing up I was an ominous ghost in the hallways of Dog House Music. The movie, "School Of Rock" had just come out and that was all the rage. To me, it was a reality. While most kids were out playing with skateboards, at the swimming pool, and having sleepovers during their summer break I was locked inside the doors of Dog House Music studios. With the movie playing at home at night and my body in the studio during the day, it felt real to me.

I had a cold awakening after high school graduation. Waking up to the real world of a 9-5 joe job, sleeping 8 hours, and repeating the process was not working for me. What once felt like a dream come true was turned into a false fantasy. For years I struggled with the decision to work instead of embrace my talent and art form.  And then one day I realized It IS a decision. That realization happened during the cusp of fall 2022.

The moral of the story is? We all have seasons in our life, and in a long-winded description, I think I'm in my growth season. The next available single will speak to the chores of a job that holds you like an anchor as mine did. Something that you believe in so badly but in all reality by the end of your life what did it do for you? Did you waste your most valuable asset? Time? The song asks you that question and shows you the path that it takes you unless you chase what makes your soul happy. More info on the upcoming single can be found on my mailing list! I give my mailing list members special access to behind-the-scenes footage of my music videos and show setup, release dates before the general public, and top secret information on upcoming singles and lots more!

If you are interested in helping me continue living the life I LOVE please go buy a song, a shirt, or tickets to a show. Small musicians such as myself live off of your entertainment and your love for music. Please support local, live music, and, get yourself something from the store today! It's much appreciated and every dollar helps me move further in the journey. Great things are happening this fall so sign up for the mailing list, get a shirt, and get yourself to a show so you don't miss out on any of the searing hi-octane blues-rock action!

As always thanks for your support. I appreciate all of you!

~Till next time on the Gotham Blog,

Bryce.

Working hard or hardly working?

Hello Dear Fans. I hope you all are well. This has been a busy month for me and it does not look like it's going to stop for the next month or so! Good problems to have I guess right? The calendar is booking up steadily and I'm making progress with the new song, writing new ones, and playing more than I ever thought possible.

Very happy with my career change. Is it difficult? Hell yes! Is it trying? Hell Yes! Is it testing my every ounce of self-respect, discipline, and work ethic? You bet it is. But I can honestly say it is worth it! When I used to work a 9-5 job I would wake up every day and have to rush to get out of the house. Nowadays I focus on my health, and my well-being before I focus on money and I can honestly say this is the way things are supposed to be for me! Sure every day is a new and frightening step into the unknown but as they say, the comfort zone is where dreams go to die. The best piece of advice I ever got was to get comfortable being uncomfortable. That quote has changed my outlook on doing things that might frighten me. I can say with truth that I have done things for this career over the years that I saw coming. But once you step off and start to do it full-time things change drastically. Being uncomfortable with a lot of decisions is now the new norm. I suppose I best get used to it for only then will I thrive in my environment. I'm not a prone risk taker so for me to risk things now is a hard thing to manage. But it has paid off so far!

As most of you know by now the new single is on the way. Thankfully I obtained confirmation last week that my song was accepted by the record company that owns the rights to the song so I will legally be allowed to release the song under my brand without any ramifications. This is great news! The hardest part about recording and producing a cover song for a full-scale release is that you do all this work upfront and then you might be denied rights. In which case, all the money, hard work, and most importantly time, your put into the song are now wasted and you have to go back to the drawing board. Starting over in that instance is difficult because you have FANS waiting on the next single. Luckily, that didn't happen this time and all is well! I will be releasing the release date EARLY for the fans on my mailing list within the next week. Only email list subscribers get the benefit of finding out early. The rest of the crowd has to wait until the release date is dropped, usually, a week before the song comes out. So go sign up for it today so you are in the know! You also get subscriber only discount codes, insights not shared on social media and tons of other goodies that come along with it! Behind the scenes photos and videos as they become available and special insights on the songs meaning when they come out.

Once I took the step off the ledge amazing things started to happen. My favorite experience so far is from a brand new fan. This is a younger person and when I started my new Instagram account and posted a new reel they started interacting with my posts. So I just said hello and thanked them for following my account. The response I got was not expected. They said, "Not a problem, love your music and it's inspired me to release my own songs!" I'm a friggin sucker for inspiring people. It's a feeling like no other to be able to get someone to see their inner light of possibility. We had a conversation about my music and what their plans are for releasing music. They asked for some advice which I gave but it inspired ME.

This is what I have wanted to do since I can remember. My idol guitarists have influenced and inspired me to keep playing since I had my first guitar in one hand and an Eric Clapton album in the other. The inspiration game has been given to me so much over the years and it feels good to be able to pass that feeling on to other, younger musicians. I am SINCERELY grateful for the people who believe in me enough to see inspiration in me. Some days I feel like a fake, a failure, a fraud, and a horrible guitarist. But days like this help me to realize the ability and gift I possess and I cannot say how thankful I am for being able to do this. Keeping my ball rolling is tough sometimes but when I'm just grinding away at my grindstone and a shaving of my inspiration flys into the ether and reaches some random person and inspires them to do better it always can shock and awe me. So thank you to everyone who believes enough in me and my work to be inspired by it.

Songwriting is going fantastic. I recently found a tool that helps with lyric writing. I found it and put it into implementation on an idea I had for a song the other day and what resulted wowed me! This song is by far one of the deepest and most true to the core songs that I have written since I wrote hurricanes in 2019. I'll admit, I'm not the best songwriter. I'm not the best singer. I'm a guitarist by trade and everything else followed due to the nature of the business. This tool and more education in songwriting theory has helped me to make this song. I'm crazy excited to share this one with all of you but It's far behind and I have a few more coming out before this one. But when It comes out I believe it can do EVEN BETTER than hurricanes did upon its release. Stay tuned for this song because it's gonna be a doozy.

As always thank you for your support and I look forward to writing for you all in the near future about the next release!

Bryce

Stepping Off the Ledge

Hello Everyone. It feels like it's been forever since I last posted on the Gotham blog! Yet it has only been a little over a month! Crazy how Quickly how fast time flies. I have tons of news to share so buckle up for the next blog post!

I have recently left my 9-5 and began to take on music full time. It's more of a challenge than I expected. At this point with so many bookings coming in and so many gigs to play, I don't have enough time to keep up with everything on my list! But I'll tell you this, it's way better than working a day job! Finally, the success of my dreams is starting to become reality. I woke up the other day to take my dog out. It was about 430AM and I remember that I looked around on the warm July morning and just breathed in the fresh morning air. Nowhere to go. No job to rush to, I could live as I want and do what I please. If the day needed me to work then I worked. If not then I am in control and for me, there is no better freedom than that. The fact that I have people coming to me to make music for them is great. I'm not making a killing but I'm certainly affording life and honestly, that's all that I need to do for now. So thank all of you for listening to or sharing my music. It's been so helpful.

Wanted to update everyone on the status of the last 2 releases. Hurricanes is now at 11k streams! The most streams I've ever had to date. If you haven't had the chance to listen to it you can do so here. Hurricanes is by far the most played song in my discography. I'm very thankful for the people who helped me make it what it is. That is a special song. My latest release grindstone has over 3500 Streams. I couldn't be more thankful for the success I have had with my recent releases!

There is a new song scheduled for release in the coming weeks. It is behind the usual 6-week schedule and I apologize for that but I promise it will be worth the wait. I took some time on this one and have been so busy with gigs this year that I have had my focus taken from my Instagram and my release schedule. As I start to get a handle on things again it will soon get back to normal and I will be releasing music like usual!  This next song is straight up rock and roll with the Bryce Evans twist I'm sure all of you have come to love!

Did you know you can get merchandise for both of the latest releases at my store? Shirts, Stickers, Coffee Cups, and all sorts of other goodies! Go check it out and get yourself some Bryce Evans merch! While you are at it make sure you Join the official mailing list! All of my mailing list members get first dibs on coupon codes, better coupon codes than I offer to the public! I also give my mailing list members behind the scene content just for being a fan! You get behind the scenes pictures, videos, stories about the songs and so much more! Join in now!

My new shows page will tell you where you can catch me next! There is a few gigs booked currently and more to come! Don't forget you can book me for your party or event by contacting me at my booking page

I want to thank all of you for helping me get to this point where I can just play music for a living. This is why I'm on this earth. To make music. Thanks for listening!

Keep Grinding

Back to work today after a nicely needed vacation. Grindstone has been out for about 4 days now as I write this. It's doing fairly well. The music video views have been growing on Youtube and the streams have been growing on Spotify also. It's a little too early to give a full update on the song but it has been getting great reviews from fans!

Some of you are telling me, "it's the best song I have come out with so far!" I have also been told that it gives off a Desert vibe! This is so interesting to me because when I wrote the song that is not what I was thinking of. I envisioned a blacksmith in an old pirate shop in the early 1700s sharpening a piece of his craft to make his daily bread. Then I remembered the chain gain and their struggles and that's what helped inspire the song. But a desert island was the last thing on my mind! Interestingly, a few of you came to the same conclusion I got this same opinion from quite a few people! Always interesting how worlds collide like that isn't it? I'm excited for all the fans to start coming together and talking like we are starting to do before releases! If you want to be a part of the Instagram group chat please send me a DM on Instagram and I can ad you! It's a good bit of fun and there are some good conversations had in there! I usually will message everyone within the week of release and talk to them and get everyone excited for the next release! Just more behind-the-scenes content for you to enjoy!

I looked back through the old posts on this blog and saw some early ones from when I started doing my releasing online and pushing the music. I always started to dream of when I would have just 1000 listeners on Spotify. I remember thinking that it was a great number to target. My last release alone was enough to put me up above 3k monthly listeners. Every time I release a song it's another swipe on the grindstone. One more road was paved. One more metaphor was exchanged from me to a listener. It's hard to always believe that it is working but I truly believe that persistence and patience are the 2 keys to success. I'm investing more money into getting more training on how to progress with my career and how to obtain the goals I am searching to find. One day soon I'll be playing shows out again. I'll be booking them in full. And after I do, I'm coming to you for a show! This has been a goal and any new follower will start to see this. Just have to keep pushing and grinding.

Doing my best to keep doing what I can for the goal every day.

I hope you are all chasing those goals.

Bryce.

You Keep Telling Me the Effort.....

Will all pay off in the end. It certainly has been recently! Thank you to all my dear listeners and fans for the endless support you give me. Each release is getting bigger, going further, and creating more buzz. THIS IS WHAT WE WANT AND NEED! Keep spreading the word because it WILL pay off and someday I WILL play a show in a city near you. But I can't do it without your help! But you all know that already, that's why you are here reading the blog. Because you enjoy my craft and the fruits of my labor and I appreciate you for that. But that does not mean we can stop grinding, you and me both! We have to keep pushing, spreading the word, and making the music reach new people! Can you help me with that? Sure you can! Just sharing this post helps! But what helps are these few things:

1. Share my Instagram channel with your friends.

2. Add my song to one of your personal playlists and share that with your friends!

3. Keep up the awesome support you already give!

4. Give the new single a listen ON THE DAY IT DROPS! This helps spike the algorithm so much more than you think. If you can do all of this for me that's great! But just doing 1 thing from this list helps more than you realize.

My last single has hit over 8k Streams since it was released on the 29th of April so THANK YOU for listening as much as you have! I have some great news about the release of my next single, "Grindstone" that I want to share. It's just as exciting as hearing that "hurricanes" hit over 8k streams!

I was able to reach out to the same playlist holders for grindstone that I did for hurricanes, and luckily it got accepted to those same playlists! For those of you who don't know, this isn't a guarantee for ANYONE. As most of you know, playlists are like a dresser. Some people keep folded clothes in them, others keep books. You never know what's gonna be in one and each one has a different theme! Even though I write MY music it sometimes doesn't fit my genre. A great example of this is my song, "Your Way." Usually, I have this blues-rock grunge thing going on but that was a total off the hip country-pop-Esque song that did not know what it wanted to be when it grew up! So I am very excited and thankful to say that Grindstone was accepted onto most of the great playlists that helped "Hurricanes" reach its successful heights. Now the fun part begins! Keeping that momentum.

For me, the week of a release is always a stressful, hectic, chaotic, and anxiety-filled time. So much to do and never enough time to do it all between my life and my music, things get busy. But I do it because the small accomplishments keep me going. The kind words I get from all of you. The opportunities that begin to appear with each new release are a blessing and I am so thankful for them. This time is a little harder because I am also working on finishing the next single slated to be released in a little over a month after grindstone. The balance is not easy but the work I'm doing I know.... will one day pay off in the end. It's just a matter of how and when will that transform in front of me.

It has come to my realization that I am an inspiration to some people. This is really the goal and always has been for many many years. When people would ask me when I was younger, "Why do you want to play music for a living? There is no money in it and you most likely will never get famous." my response to that question would always be, "Because I want to inspire people like my Idol guitarists inspired me." That was it. I don't want the fame, the money would and will be nice enough to keep me afloat. Other than that I am a simple person. Give me what I need (maybe a guitar or 2 every year or so,) and I'm a happy camper! The main reason is that I want to inspire people to pick up the guitar. Maybe not even the guitar hell, I'll be happy if someone sees a post from me and it inspires them to go to work that day. The problem nowadays is no one dreams anymore. Everyone looks up to the boss' and the leaders and goes to work like a slave and chips away at the rock like a quarryman. But no one does that for themselves anymore. For their dreams and that is what I want to show people. If your mind can see it, your body can achieve it. The rain hammers through the rock not by force but by persistence. If you keep pushing and you NEVER GIVE UP..... You will achieve the goal. It has to happen. So stay focused and stay on your GRINDSTONE  because one day you will sharpen that knife enough that it cuts through the fabric behind which your dream stands. On that day I hope one of my songs is playing in the background for you when you cut that fabric. Because that will be my way of celebrating you.

That's what this song is about. Don't stop. Dream. Be yourself. Accomplish the hell out of those goals. Don't take no for a fucking answer and don't stop. Keep busting those damn doors down, keep writing those songs, keep chasing that promotion even if it seems hopeless. Keep grinding on your grindstone. I hope you connect with this song and I hope it helps you keep going.

If you want behind-the-scenes videos, more insight on the songs, behind-the-scenes pictures, coupons, free singles for each release, and tons more, then you must join my mailing list! It's free, easy, and only takes a second. I won't spam you each day with deals and I will NEVER share your information with anyone. Not to mention all the cool free stuff you get plus a bunch of other things that you can choose to opt-in on! What's there to lose?

Grindstone comes out this Friday, June 10th, 2022. I hope you enjoy the song and I wish you the best with your goals. Go give it a listen on release day and BECOME INSPIRED.

Bryce.

Hurricanes Update 5/18/22

Hello Everyone! It's time for the update on the newest release. This has been a crazy month all because of this song!

Before we get into all the goody details I wanted to thank everyone for listening and for all your support. Please remember that there is an official Store and you can get your very own Hurricane Merch Now! I truly appreciate the support and can't be more thankful that I have such great followers and listeners. So thank you! Because of you, this song has reached more heights than I could ever imagine! This is BY FAR my best performing song.....yet there will be a better one, trust me on that.

It is great to see that It is resonating with so many people. There are listeners from all over the WORLD tuning in saving this song and adding it to their liked playlists! It's great because it means that I am starting to obtain some sort of fan base and I'm so very very very thankful for that. One month closer to going on tour. One day closer to releasing the next song yet to come. Thank you for helping make that happen. I spend WEEKS in the studio working on the music and the final "show" of the release so that people can enjoy something for 5 minutes that does not involve news or politics. Thank you for paying attention because I know that your time, like mine, is valuable. So thank you for spending it on my art.

Now on with the details:

Hurricanes is the most successful up to this point. I know I say that every time right? But no, I'm being real. Here are the numbers.

Hurricanes has been streamed on Spotify 3,962 times as of this evening at 5:55 MST. The song has only been out for 2 weeks and 5 days. I'm sure this number will exceed 5k by the time this month is over. BANANAS I SAY!

I'm in disbelief!

Hurricanes has been saved onto liked playlists 224 times! Usually, at the end of a release campaign, the numbers drop but I hope these 224 people keep listening to the song. It does mean something different to everyone so I thank you for showing me that it means something to you!

The largest listener base for this song is from the United States followed by Spain, Greece, Austria, and Australia. surprisingly the United Kingdom came in 11th place for listeners. Usually, the brits are in second place behind the US for listeners base on my songs! No matter, every stream helps no matter the place your country came in! Thanks for the support!

I'm going to go over so many other details about this release and many others in my email campaign that went out today. If you want to get in on more details about what's going on in the world of Bryce, sign up here! I do monthly updates on the music, store, special offers as things progress, and giveaways among many other benefits. Not to mention you can help me, even more, when it comes time to hit the road and find shows that are near you. I will be trying to take in my favorite fans' cities when I start to get out on the road and my email list fans will have a big say in that! What have you got to lose?! Also, find out about the podcast I'm going to be guest-starring on this month!

Thank you for all the continued support and I can not wait to see what the next one does!

There used to be a time....

There used to be a time... when I could stand myself. But.....that was long ago and you could call me a different person. The pain we all feel is so tough and sometimes it locks your dreams in Iron cuffs due to the complete mental toll it takes on you. For some of us, the pain is physical and for some it's mental. For some people, it's both. Sometimes you just need help and for some of us, a whisper may feel like a shout for help. This is not always the case but I know I share this sentiment with MANY people. I also feel this is a HUGE part of the LGBTQ+ community. Many of us are more locked in our mental cages of, "what could happen if," or "What will my friends and family think of me?" I believe it begins to take a toll on us over time. This is what the new song is all about.

I have had my fair share of mental struggles and still do. But over time they have gotten better with the help of other people and means I didn't think I needed at the time. The new single reflects this sentiment. We are not alone and we sometimes just need some help to get out of the problems we are all in. For some of us, the cues we give may feel like massive gun blasts and cannon fire in the air with confetti and fireworks shouting, "Hey look over here! I need some help!" To everyone else, however, it may be a look, whisper, singular word in a sentence of a spoken paragraph upon conversation.  I hope you all like this song because It was written about myself, yes but after playing it for so many people and seeing their reactions to the song I hope you get the same amount of enjoyment from it that I have.  This one came from somewhere else. It has a mind of its own and I've known that about this song from the very day I finished the final draft of the lyrics. It's a living and breathing song and I hope that it resonates with you in some way more than any of my other songs.

Some other special things are happening with this release. I have multiple music videos lined up for this one, I'm in contact with a PR company about coverage of the song and will have it playlisted in multiple places. If you want to see some behind-the-scenes footage and get more tidbits and an insider's look at the process behind the curtain then go sign up for my Mailing List. It's free, easy, and safe I don't share any of your information with anyone and I don't sell it either. This is so you can learn about my music, and I appreciate you giving me the time and your information to be able to do that so we can bond over the tunes!

Now, enough of my mumbo-jumbo about the selfless mailing list pitch, back to the song.

EVERYONE fights mental and physical battles. Everyone has issues that we all have to deal with in our lives from beginning to end. Sometimes all you need is 1 good person by your side to help. Thankfully I have my one person.

That's what this song is about, Sometimes people can be your life vest and sometimes they can also be your Anker. I hope when you hear this song it brings you some feeling and some connection with your problems. I hope it provides a solution to work through them, so then maybe you too can get out of the hurricanes of your mind and into the blissful field of flowers and sunshine that you deserve. Treat yourself well and take care. I hope you enjoy the new song.

Stay tuned on my social media and here for an update on the official release of the new song. Don't forget to go join that mailer if you want to get an early release date and a free song. Alright enough out of me, have a wonderful week!

That door leads to the Devils Hall.....

This last month has been great! Released a new single on the 11th and I wanted to give everyone updates on how that has done! Since the 11th Devils Hall has been streamed a total of 46 times. Every release I'm moving up in the number of streams that a song gets and I'm very happy with it. I can't tell you all how great it is to have supportive fans! It's a struggle sometimes to push out all the things I have to push out on my own to make a release happen so it's nice to know that more and more people are taking the time to listen to my tunes and appreciate my work! I hope that someday I will get to the point that I can focus more on my fans and music more than all the other things. But that will come someday. Of that, I have no doubt.

The song has been added to at least 5 professional playlists as far as I can tell and I know there are some more because some of you have told me that you added it to some of your own playlists! So thank you for that. Every bit of support helps immensely so keep up the good work!

This song has yet to beat Caged in the #1 song for the week out of my discography. Needless to say, I need to write some more songs like that one! Soon enough I will have something different coming out. Not oddly different but you know how I roll. This might even have a batch of songs, who knows! Devils hall has hit my #3 most streamed songs by listeners this week and in the 2 weeks since the release of the song.

Love sharing some facts with you, another song is on the way next month. This next one is special for a lot of reasons. I hope it's as special to you as it is to me. I want this next one to strike a chord with people. So many people are afflicted from the same problems I have and this I think is something we can all share and attest to as humans. Everyone has the blues and gets into ruts and dark times. This song speaks HIGHLY on a lot of those topics.  I will unveil the new song in the coming weeks so stay tuned for more tidbits on why I wrote it in the blog. In my email list, you get exclusive content that is not offered to the public on my socials or via this blog! I give out release dates earlier than originally announced to the public, free songs, pictures, and videos with lots more!

Thanks so much for the generous support everyone. I truly appreciate the time and the support you all give. Thank you.
